Are any of you part of an at-home MLM business? If so how have you been successful in making money?

I'm with Ameriplan and the only way I see one having success if by getting on the phone and making those dreaded calls lol.

2. HECK NO!!!!!! only 1% of ppl who are involved in pyramid scams make any real money whatsoever.

Well you're not the first to be advised about old network marketing techniques that is: cold-calling, making a list of 100 people you know, sticking flyers everywhere, bothering family and friends with your business opportunity, attending endless presentations, etc. Truthfuly speaking none of these bring in results, they simply don't work. The sad part about this is that 95% of MLM representatives use these old marketing methods and most of them, if not all, fail. The reason fo this failure is because the next potential prospect you'll approach, has been approached with the same marketing stance. So these prospects already have a defence built up against these types of approaches. This is often followed by MLM reps quiting. To be successful in any MLM you must learn attraction marketing. Leads are supposed to hunt you down for your business and not the other way around. This is where true success comes in. 4. I hate making calls too. Why not have people call you? Would you like that better? Or how about having operators make the calls for you and schedule appointments and then you can just perform interviews at the time agreed upon. Some people like face to face interactions better. The only limit on how you build your business is your imagination. Every successful MLMer chose methods they enjoyed. And there are countless MLMers who have been successful using various methods. The ones using methods suited to your personality are the ones who can best teach you. One size does not fit all and you can choose to use methods that differ from what others are doing. Famous MLMer Tom Big Al Schreiter is always talking about how much he hates the phone and he is one of the most successful networkers in the profession. 5. Unfortunately DC, phone calling is still an effective way of getting leads. It's annoying sometimes, but it works. But, I would agree with some of the other posters in a way. Although they might have been trying to sell their own product (but might not, not trying to judge), there are much more effective ways to market these days. Most of them involve the internet. Some start blogs and CONSISTENTLY provide good information on a regular basis. Every week or so. Some use video blogs. People for some reason trust you more if they see your face. Spamming is annoying so stay away from that. Using facebook and twitter are also very helpful. You can connect yourself with so many more people with new technology. Whatever you use, find something and STICK TO IT. If your marketing is working well, eventually people will be coming to you! Good Luck!
