Is affiliate marketing a short term business?

I mean is affiliate marketing is limited for certain time period?Or it has a long life?

1. I think it depends on what you are an affiliate for - I have been doing this for 4 years now and is my full time job. Also, if you pay attention there are more offline stores offering this same thing like Walmart and Target - don't think they would even consider if they didn't think this was the wave of the future - my recommendation is to start out with Amazon and narrow down a niche from there - something that you like.
2. I don't have a better idea about this. but i think it has a long life.....
3. It's actually long-term as it takes time to develop your network but some affiliate networks can earn you lifetime commissions.
