Where can I find someone to get advice about becoming an Entrepreneur?

I’m 19, attending The Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago in the fall. I originally wanted to take the Fashion Marketing/ Management program, but now I think the Fashion Merchandising would best fit me. I ever determined and ambitious. I just need to learn where to start. I've already started networking, trying to get my name out there. Blogging, anything I can think of. I want a career in the fashion industry and eventually want to open my own Boutique and Lounge. I HAVE to do this. There is no option. I just need advice, guidance and a plan to start. Does anyone know where I can find someone to speak with about these plans? Anyone that has experience to share, advice give, anything!? Let me know please! I would even like to create my own magazine or restaurant. I know not all these things are realistic, but I have to do one, two or the other!

  1. See that's the thing about becoming an entreprenuer is being creative. I guess I have to give you credit for starting somewhere in submitting your question here for now. You never know who you'll run into on these open forums right? Everybody has a different story but the unique quality of entreprenuers is their drive and tenacity at trying new things and standing out as different. They have balls to do things the average person would not go near. They're smart people and hungry and driven by personal goals to acheive, acheive, acheive at all costs (or most at least). If that's you then GREAT. One, start reading what the gurus talk about. They have valuable information that if applied correctly you can go places. People like Anthony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Dr. Dyer, and a bunch of others have inspired millions to achieve their goals through simple and persuasive principles that have worked for thousands of years. If you want to learn from a real person who you can physically be around and mentor you then walk into their office. Tell them you'll work for them as your intern just for a chance to be mentored by them. Working for nothing just to learn is enough to impress most people that see themselves when they were young and hungry. Be a go getter and kiss a lot of @ss if you have to. There's no shame in that in most cases...lol. Persistence pays off eventually if you have something to offer any of these people. Good luck and let me know what happens will ya?
