In network marketing, why id ur direct uplink important?

The person who got me into his network and trains me in how to get others to join and improve my business. How is this person important? I know that is he is experienced i can learn more from him. But is there an advantage if this person is very active and constantly getting new distributors to join.

1. You're right. All MLMs are scams. The only people making money in MLM schemes are the early investors or those who exploit enough downstream salespeople to support themselves. Those people might insist, "How am I exploiting my downstream?" Answer: because your downstream should be allowed to buy from your upstream just like you; you add nothing of value to your downstream, but you take a large commission out of their sales.
