  1. What you can do is learn more about marketing. I have a free training series with 7 free videos where you can learn so much more http://www.kbmakemoney.com - no obligation if it doesn't fit what you're looking for
  2. First of all, I would dump the calling cards. There is not a big enough market for those - especially for a beginner affiliate marketer! Go for information... clickbank is a great place to start. If you don't want to market information, go to those electronic wholesale sites that drop ship and sell those items. I suggest information though. Secondly, free ads should only be a supplement to your marketing adventure. Try writing some articles and submit them to ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com. Also, make sure you have a couple of blogs set up at squidoo.com and wordpress.com. All of those sites I listed are magnets to google. You will get listed with a great page rank... IF.... You have good content. This can be done! Just do a little more research.
  3. I was in several affiliate programs for longer than 2 months. Between the three of them, I made $1.00. I don't think free advertising is as much your problem as is the statement others have made about the calling card business now days. I buy them from time to time to send to my son, but just go to Wal-mart. I didn't realize there were still companies out there promoting a network marketing business. I also agree that you might want to write some articles, do some blogs, etc.. but the content does have to be pretty compelling. I am part of a free mentoring group. We teach people 0-low cost ways to advertise their programs, among other things. If you think you would be interested, there is a link to an ebook at the bottom of my profile here on answers... The Ebook may answer some of your questions as to why it is not working for you. I know it changed my life. ~jennifer ~

  5. There are several things to consider here. First is to determine whether you are reaching your target audience. In other words, are the people that see your ad the same ones that would be using a calling card? How do you determine this? Click-thrus. Are people clicking on the links in your ads? If not then you need to determine where online these people (your target audience) are surfng and refocus your advertising campaign to maximize traffic. You also need an objective review of your ads. Do they say what they need to say to get the desired result, which is a click-thru to your referral page. Most affilate companies have prescripted ads they want you to use. I recommend you only use their prescribed ads and try all of them. Hopefully they have "ad tracking" which allows you to see which ads are getting click-thrus and which are not. If you are getting click-thrus but no takers, then you need to ask yourself whether or not there is a true market appeal for the calling card offer. This is sometimes a difficult question to answer but is key to your success. It doesn't matter how great your marketing campaign is, if no one wants what you are offering. Consider the competition to what you are offering, consider the alternative calling methods, analyze the market you are entering. The best way to do this as a sole affiliate is approach it as a consumer (which you already are!) Ask yourself is this a truly good deal compared to other things out there? ...and go from there. If you are comfortable with all I have talked about so far, you are reaching your target audience, you have a good selection of well-written ads, and you know your calling card offer is a very good one, then its time to increase the size of your campaign. I mean you need to target more people then you already are. How and where can you do this? Your options are too numerous to mention here. I suggest you check out my site, as it has alot of good information for free and I even offer free advertising opportunities. We cater to affiliates as yourself and small business start-ups so we know your challenges and offer tailored solutions for the "little guy" in the big world of business and global marketing. 6. I think what you need to do here is look around for another product/s to promote. The digital industry is probably the best type of product to look at being an affiliate marketer in. The best place to find the product you want to promote is probably going to be clickbank. Ther are others out there, for example commission junction. But from my experience, clickbank is a bit better because it deals in only digital products and it is really easy to sign up to a product as an affiliate at no cost either. And with so many products to choose from, you'll probably find a product to promote that you know a bit about yourself, which makes it easier, you know like Computer games, or mp3 stuff like that. 2 months is not a long time to be an affiliate marketer and it does take a while to see your commission checks come through. What I would recommend you do is make sure you are familiar with the way to go about affiliate marketing. By this I mean that there are so many ways to go about it. Not all of them will give you all the info you really need to make a success at being an affiliate. So you need to find a way to get all the right information about being an affiliate, so that you know that when you start to promote a product as an affiliate, you are 100% sure it will work and you'll get your commission check not once, but many times over. This is one of the main ideas behind affiliate marketing. Getting what is called a 'passive income'. It doesn't really take a lot of time, or money for that matter, to get really good at the affiliate marketing business. I've been doing it for just over 18 months now and I've spent a lot of money trying to get the right info, getting this and that with no real success. I'm telling you, there is a whole load of junck out there about affiliate marketing! But. If you really do want to be a successful affiliate you might want to check out a guy called Ewen Chia. He's reputedly, the world's number 1 affiliate marketer. And I've used some of his products. And they really work! He's about the only guy I've found that does make the affiliate business easy. If you want to get some more info about what this guy does, for free, why not check out; http://tinyurl.com/2dely2 There is another place where you can also get all the basics of affiliate marketing. Again it is something I use a lot and the best bit about this place, is that all of the ways used to generate sales are by using free methods! Have a look and see what you think. http://tinyurl.com/34z7ar You do have to work at the business of affiliate marketing. But once you stay focused and stick with a plan. It really can make you a lot of money. And it can be great fun too. I hope this has been of use to you! Moneyman
