how do I become a food broker or other legitamit sales rep?

I am trying to find a real sales product to offer,but find that nobody will give me a chance...the big food supply companies blow me off,I have 2.5 years selling trucking services,but the industry has taken such a nose dive I am looking for other lines of revenue...any ideas?And please don't post links to mlm,network marketing,affiliate sites and the like...
