Whats to best way to make a respectable income on-line part time?

I am seriously thinking about building a web site to try to earn an extra income or if successful a sole income so I don't have to go to work while I'm at university. I have been looking at all different things from affiliates to marketing schemes im even looking at ebay. I dont want to hear fom anybody who is promoting a scam because I will thoroughly research any suggestions. I would like to hear from people who used to be in the same posistion as me and have started to earn a good income.
